The 15 IgE & IgG Mold Panel measures immune responses to a selection of common environmental and food-related moulds using a serum blood sample.

Size

  • Mould allergy: respiratory or skin symptoms suspected to be mould-related.
  • Environmental exposure: damp or humid home or workplace conditions.
  • Asthma: symptoms that may be influenced by inhaled mould spores.
  • Respiratory discomfort: nasal congestion, wheezing or recurrent coughing.
  • Skin reactions: hives, itching or swelling occurring after exposure.
  • Food reactions: suspected responses to foods associated with mould or yeast.
  • Frequent indoor dampness: visible mould, musty odours or moisture issues.
  • Recurrent sinus concerns: persistent congestion or irritation.
  • Hypersensitivity: history of heightened reactivity to environmental triggers.
  • Family history of allergy: exploring possible inherited susceptibility.

Overview

The 15 IgE & IgG Mold Panel test measures serum IgE and IgG responses to fifteen common moulds found in indoor environments, outdoor settings and certain foods. These include species of Penicillium, Aspergillus, Cladosporium, Candida, Fusarium and others commonly encountered in damp or humid spaces. The assessment identifies patterns of immune reactivity across both immediate-type and delayed-type antibody classes.

This assessment may relate to concerns such as mould allergy, respiratory discomfort, asthma, recurrent sinus issues, skin reactions or food-related symptoms involving yeast or mould-containing products. It may also be helpful where environmental exposure is suspected, particularly in homes or workplaces with visible dampness, musty odours or limited ventilation.

Practitioners commonly review these findings alongside environmental history, home or workplace conditions, dietary patterns, symptom timing and relevant lifestyle factors discussed by clients. This can help build a clearer understanding of how mould-related exposure may interact with reported symptoms.
